Up to 90% of PC hardware currently on the market works well with Ubuntu Linux. However, some devices are not yet compatible, because Linux developers have not been able to produce working device drivers for them.
Some devices will never be compatible because the manufacturers have not released enough information about them into the public domain, without which the device drivers cannot be written.
